Packing for trekking with La Koketa app
I have to admit that my summer vacation for the most part tested my resilience and pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Of course, I’m not saying this to complain because the fun part was predominant and at the end, I was grateful for the unsurpassed and memorable experiences despite the initial pushback and worry (to say the least). 💪😀
Here I want to share with you an amazing and particularly challenging trek that we decided to embark on and the way I used La Koketa app to help me pack for the adventure.
I know that most blogs tell you about the importance of packing light and choosing the comfiest trekking boots to enjoy the experience. That’s obviously true, but my mind is somehow bothered by how I’m going to look on the trail as well (to do justice to the incredible vistas, you know). 🏔😉

I always approach packing preparation in terms of outfits that should be built considering the duration, the weather, and the context of the trip. In this particular case, we would be trekking technical trails at high altitude for two days and on top of that sleeping in a tent! 😱 This meant that thermal underwear and a puffer jacket would be a must if I were not to freeze to death during the night. 🥶🏕
So, first I filtered my digital closet on La Koketa app by searching the hashtag #trekking to check out the pieces that I own. Then, I selected my high trekking boots with an ankle support because I knew the terrain was very rocky and used them as a preferred item in the What to Wear (W2W) feature to see outfit ideas.

I checked the suggestions and really liked the outfit with the matching blue merino tee, but decided to edit the outerwear to include a soft shell with a zipper instead of a hoodie because the ease of undressing is of the essence. Then I added the outfit with the hashtag #Pirin-trek to start creating my packing list.

Then I scrolled down the W2W suggestions and spotted an outfit with leggings whose moving comfort is undeniable. So I edited the ensemble to include a buff and the SAME soft shell because my tender shoulders would be carrying this backpack for 8 hours daily! 💪

Then, I added the outfit with the same hashtag #Pirin-trek to my packing list and voila!

Finally, I built an outfit with the puffer jacket for the evening in front of the tent and the campfire when I would definitely need thermal underwear, a beanie and many layers to endure the cold. 🔥

Eventually, I decided to create my sleeping outfit just for fun and for the sake of having my whole packing list complete and neatly displayed on the palm of my hand. 📱🖐 So here’s how it looks!

Now I was set to conquer summits and enjoy nature in style!
