Beach weddings are totally romantic and beautiful, but the outfit dilemma is absolutely daunting. On one hand, you have the opportunity to have fun time with your friends, but on the other what on earth are you supposed to wear? 😱
The beauty of the setting can only be rivaled by the happiness of the newlyweds and you are compelled to add sophistication and style to their dream event. The positive vibes are contagious and the carefully picked outfits are designed to enhance the inclusiveness of the event. 💙
However, there are a number of challenging questions to consider… Patterns or solids? Mini or maxi? Heels or flats?
1. The first and foremost conundrum: THE SHOES 👠
It all starts from there because the sand is everywhere! The event definitely requires a formal attire and wearing flats won’t do, but heels are demanding and tricky. So how to prep up appropriately is a question that would keep tormenting my thoughts.
Here’s how I practically approached the project. I decided I’d go for solid heel sandals because they are more stable on the sand and I def wanted to be formal.
2. Then THE DRESS is of the essence! 👗
Do I wear a flowing breezy summery dress with a vivacious print, or do I choose a slightly formal attire? What about the pattern and color?
Blue and green hues that match the vastness and profoundness of the sea seem like a good choice so why not just embrace the sights and sounds of the surf and turf around you? Mimic those delicious, tropical tones with your attire and think colors like aquamarine blue, turquoise, sand, terra cotta, fuchsia, lime green, and even tangerine.
So I just filtered green and blue color, glam style and summer season on La Koketa app to check what I could work with and started from there!
I immediately spotted the turquoise dress with tulle skirt and blazer-like top by Aniye By and just loved it. This hue would contribute a great poise to any fashion equation!
The one color pattern is always the ultimate go-to look when it comes to formal venues so I filtered shoes, bags and accessories in the same color and was ecstatic to find adorable pieces matching the hue of the dress.
3. Finally, the evening CHILL. 🥶
Evenings tend to get chillier on the beach and wearing a summer dress would require an additional layer, so I need to plan the outerwear as well. It’s really simple though – just filter the outerwear type, glam style and summer season and viola!
So many considerations, but I eventually managed to find the perfect outfit in turquoise to match the beach setting and the formality of the event!
