How to Avoid Default Outfit Combinations
I’ve noticed that I always stick to default outfits for one reason or another, be it a lack of time or a doubt in my styling skills. Every time I encounter an exciting pleated skirt or floral jeans in my closet, I think long and hard how to find its best matching pair. However, I always end up combining it with the same top that I usually choose for that particular piece.
As a result, I’m tirelessly and relentlessly wearing the same “default” outfits as I’ve come to refer to them. You can imagine how tedious and uninspiring this can be especially if you have dozens of prospective candidates for matching…
I’m sure you’ll agree that finding the best matching pair is as challenging in life as it is with outfits. 😊 So here I wanted to share with you how to avoid repetitive outfit combinations with the help of the “What to Wear?” feature of La Koketa app. I believe all of us need some fresh ideas to spice up our styling and elevate our looks.
Below is the default way I always wear this fabulous leather pleated skirt because I guess my brain sticks to familiar patterns and when in doubt, I feel pretty confident to reach for a time-proven look:
For a change, I’ve decided that I need to break free from my standard look. So I just tapped the “What to Wear” button and La Koketa matching algorithm cast a whole new perspective and suggested a range of fresh looks to consider:
Here is another example that I managed to change with this simple tweak. The default way I usually wear this black and white knit dress by Zara is with floral sneakers and a chain bag, which is a really comfy and chic look at the same time.
However, this time I had to attend a more formal occasion and decided that the sneakers won’t do so added the dress as preferred in the “What to Wear?” feature and chose “classy style” and “autumn season”. Check out how the whole look changed with the same dress:
Below is another default outfit I wear most of the time and rarely consider diverting. It’s just a lazy way of getting dressed when you are out of outfit ideas.
Let’s check out how I came up with half a dozen new ideas ranging from casual to classy when tapping the “What to Wear” button.
Now I have some inspiring new looks with my own clothes that I’ve never considered before. Not bad at all! 😊
It’s obvious my creativity can use a little AI boost and then I can take it from there. What do you think? I believe we can always use a little bit of help to get us thinking in exciting new directions.
