Easter Brunch and Spring Staples
The sun is shining, the grass is actually green, and it seems that we can finally put away our heavy winter coats. The process of mixing up your wardrobe is one of many fun aspects of the season changing.
However, springtime can be fickle in terms of temperature. In a 12 hours span it can be sunny and warm one day, snowy and freezing the next, and all in between.
Though still mostly at home and if you are anything like me, I decided it’s time to spruce up my new-season wardrobe with a few key pieces that will keep me looking absolutely on-trend.
So, what should we be ordering, lusting for, and Instagramming this spring?
I am sharing with you, guys the way I do my spring shopping and since it’s Easter this weekend I will tip you with a few extra Easter brunch outfit ideas.🥚
I will be concentrating on classic wardrobe items for this post because they’re a strong base for a workable spring wardrobe. When scrolling down a list like this, remember to include your personal spice to it.
Check your digital closet at La Koketa App as well as be sure to try on controversial pieces and evaluate their status.
While my wardrobe basics can vary from yours (and this certainly is true), these essential items should serve as a decent starting point for most of us.
What I do – I always, always test with “What to wear?” how the items I am going to buy fit in my wardrobe. A rule of thumb – if there are at least 3 gorge outfits I can implement – I buy it.
Also, do not forget to donate the clothes that are already exhausted, do not fit you, or you are tired of wearing. We love you, Earth! 🌎
So handpicked for you here are the 9 essential pieces we’re sure you have in your wardrobe, but you may wish to replace for the new seasons best:
Denim jacket or overshirt
Denim itself is timeless and one of the most worn items in our wardrobes (in mine for sure – I even have it in white). So it is reasonable to try and find the new seasons best:
White cotton jumper
When March rolls around, even if it’s still cold, I start putting away my wool and cashmere sweaters and start wearing more lightweight knits. I also find myself wearing more bright and light colors. Cotton sweaters are fitted for that cold spring days and walks.
Linen Shirt-dress
Ideal for layering at the end of spring or even warn by itself, with some extra jewelry and wedges you can easily transition it into the hottest summer days and trends!
Floral dress
A lot of women say they live in dresses in the spring and summer. I don’t wear a lot of dresses, but I like to have a few options on hand for events that may crop up.
This spring, florals are having a moment, and I’m seeing lots of flowy styles with ruffles and embellishments. Midi-length styles and long, voluminous looks are in. Think the 1960s. Personally, I will always go for a noticeable pattern or block color but at the end of the day, you have to wear what works for you.
Wide leg pants or culottes
The charm of wearing jogging bottoms has long worn off after months of slouching on the couch. Sure, I want to feel comfortable, but I’m starting to miss feeling put-together. And here comes the wide-leg pant. Ideal for every occasion, styled with heels or flats, sneakers will do too. So dive in:
Wrap jumpsuit
Don’t get me wrong but if there is a clothing item that defines me – this is it. I adore jumpsuits and this year they are in different shapes, volumes, and textures:
Co-ords and especially Bermuda shorts with an oversize jacket as a suit combination
Mom jeans
Nothing to add here. Comfort takes it all.
Spring coat
Perfect for the cooler spring days and I am sure you can find at least 5 outfits to pair it with.
And now as promised the perfect Easter brunch outfit and the Easter egg hunt outfit. Pair them with your smile and stay healthy!
