How to transition your looks for warmer days?
It might only be February, but the snowless winter got me into a spring mood way ahead of its time. Sure, I still wear my winter jackets, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get a head start on my spring outfits for the warm days ahead. 🍃
Luckily, the fashion industry is six months into the future and it’s easy to research the trends and plan in advance. You know what they say about the early bird, right? 😊
Fear not, for I would show you how to combine cute spring looks to enjoy the warmer days with what you already have in your closet.
Here’s what to do: 👉
1️⃣ Check which trendy pieces are already available in your closet.
2️⃣ Use the “What to Wear?” feature on La Koketa to style them in spring outfits.
3️⃣ Check the weather and decide on the layering.
Acid Green
I noticed that acid green is the color of the season, which is such a delight to both the eye and the spirit. This hue is so powerful and compelling that it’s literally radiating spring vibes from afar!
So, I filtered my green and yellow pieces for relevant matches and found this thin knit in neon that can be worn equally well during warmer or colder days depending on the layering. Just add a puffer and you are good to go when the temperatures go down!
Then I added it as a preferred item in the “What to Wear?” engine and checked what the unique algorithm has to offer as styling suggestions.
I just loved the look combining the acid green top with white flared jeans and chunky sneakers. Of course, I decided to have my puffer on just in case… It’s still February, you know! 😁
If you need to completely transition the outfit for the upcoming spring, then just get rid of the jacket and spring-ify the accessories.
Sheer Cool
Sheer fabrics are having a moment for a good reason this season! Who doesn’t love to show a little skin during springtime? It’s basically a super sexy way to add a little intrigue to any look and it’s especially easy to layer it with outerwear in case of chillier weather.
Since I knew what I was looking for, I just searched the hashtag #sheer on my digital closet and it turned out that I own only one sheer top in grey. Well, it’s still something I can work with!
Then I tapped the “What to Wear?” button and enjoyed the variety of outfit suggestions featuring the sheer grey top. Good to know I can pull a number of cool looks with it!
Eventually, I picked the monochrome look with mid-rise jeans in grey, sock ankle boots and a snake print belt for an added drama. The low waist jeans are enjoying a comeback so still on trend here. 😁
Depending on the temperatures, you can of course either winterize or sping-ify the outfit by adding layers or swapping the shoes and accessories with weather appropriate ones.
Personally, I’m equally in love with all looks and I intend to alternate them whenever I’m up to a social endeavor. Also, I discovered a number of other cute outfits suggested by “What to Wear” that I can wear with the neon and the sheer top so the first spring days are covered!
After all, the goal is to avoid the default outfits and surrender to what the ingenious algorithm has to offer. Simple as that! 📲
